Strengthening Open Science in Hungary: Skills4EOSC with KIFÜ

| Sara Di Giorgio | news

Skills4EOSC has formalized a collaborative agreement with KIFÜ (Hungarian Governmental Information Technology Development Agency). Based on KIFÜ's extensive experience supporting the Hungarian National Research and Education Network, this partnership aims to enhance Open Science initiatives and explore establishing an Open Science Competence Centre in Hungary.

Key aspects of this collaboration include the creation of new modules in the  Hungarian e-learning course on Open Science and EOSC developed by KIFÜ earlier, along with the delivery of new targeted training sessions to Higher Education Institutions. The collaboration also focuses on sharing expertise in critical areas such as FAIR-ification practices, data management, and open science workflows.

Furthermore, KIFU will be involved in co-creation activities by participating in surveys, testing and collection of end-user requirements. This collaboration extends to supporting dissemination activities, aiming to share knowledge and best practices in the field.

This collaboration serves as a strategic step towards fostering national and regional cooperation in open science and data training. As part of this endeavour, the exploration of an Open Science Competence Centre in Hungary is also on the agenda.
